Name one thing you're proud of yourself for today (no matter how small)

Let's do a check-in. What's one thing you did today that you're proud of? It can be tiny. It can be "I got out of bed." It can be "I ate something." It can be "I didn't cry in the grocery store." No judgement, no comparison β just acknowledgment.
I'll start: I took a shower AND washed my hair. Both things. In one shower. It took me four days to get there but I did it and my hair is clean and I'm proud.

i put away the laundry that's been sitting in the basket for a week. it's not folded. it's just shoved in drawers. but it's not in the basket anymore and that counts.

I ate three meals today. THREE. At roughly normal times. I don't think I've done that in months.

I set a boundary today. I told a friend "I don't have capacity for this conversation right now, can we revisit it tomorrow?" and I didn't over-explain or apologize excessively. I'm proud of that.

@neuron_noodle Setting a boundary without over-apologizing is a SKILL. Well done.

I asked for help. I texted a friend and said "I'm having a hard day, can you send me something funny?" They sent me a video of a cat falling off a couch. It helped. Asking for help is hard and I did it.

I wore my colorful sneakers to church. A woman made a comment and I just smiled and said "they make me happy." I didn't apologize. I didn't explain. I'm proud of that.

I colored an entire page in my coloring book without once criticizing my work. No "I went outside the lines," no "the colors don't match." Just... colored. And enjoyed it.

i let my partner handle dinner without supervising. i didn't check what he was making, i didn't ask if he remembered the thing, i just... let him do it. and dinner was fine. the world didn't end.

I checked my email for the first time in a week. There were 87 unread messages. I replied to the three that mattered and archived the rest. Email zero isn't the goal but functional email is and I achieved it.

I'm proud of showing up for my daughter's school play even though the auditorium lights were A Lot and the sound system was feedback-ing. I wore my earplugs and sat in the back and focused on her face and didn't leave. She saw me. She waved. Worth it.

Reading through everyone's wins and genuinely tearing up. We're all out here fighting invisible battles and every single thing in this thread is a victory. Brushing teeth. Drinking water. Setting boundaries. Wearing colorful sneakers. This is what thriving looks like.

@dino_nuggie_dad "This is what thriving looks like." Yes. Not the highlight reel version. The real version. I'm proud of every single person in this thread. Let's do this again tomorrow. π
