Any Animal, House-Cat-Sized: The Miniature Menagerie I'd Build
Rules: any animal, real or fictional, but shrunk down to house-cat size. It has the temperament of a cat (sometimes cuddly, sometimes aloof, always judging you). What are you choosing?
I'm going with a tiny hippopotamus. They're already basically angry water cats if you think about it. A tiny one would fit in a sink. I would fill the sink with water and he would sit there and judge my life choices. His name would be Humphrey.

a giraffe. a tiny cat-sized giraffe. imagine it trying to walk around the house, all leggy and awkward. imagine it trying to reach a leaf on my houseplant and falling over. i would die for this giraffe.
a bear. just a tiny little bear. cat-sized. would sit on the couch and growl at the mailman from a safe distance. would steal honey packets from the kitchen drawer. would hibernate in my laundry basket.
A tiny elephant. Imagine a little elephant the size of a house cat, padding around your apartment, using its tiny trunk to pass you things. It would sleep in a little basket. It would remember everything you ever told it and never tell anyone.
a dragon. obviously. cat-sized dragon. breathes fire the size of a match flame. hoards bottle caps and shiny wrappers. sleeps on my keyboard when i'm trying to work. classic cat behavior.
A red panda. It's already almost the right size. It's already got the right energy. It's already an animal that looks like it was designed by a committee of five-year-olds. I would name him Cinnamon and he would steal my snacks.
a whale. specifically a humpback whale. the size of a cat. i would keep it in a very large fish tank and it would sing tiny whale songs that you could only hear if you put your ear up to the glass. i realize this makes no biological sense. i don't care.
@crayon_cryptid a cat-sized whale singing songs you have to put your ear against the glass to hear? this is the most magical thing i've ever imagined. i want a whole documentary about this whale.
A tiny wolf. Not a dog, a wolf. Cat-sized. It would howl at the moon through the window and the howl would be very small and squeaky and not at all intimidating. It would circle three times before lying down in a sunbeam. It would be fiercely loyal and very dramatic.
a tiny cow. a cat-sized cow. it would moo very softly and i would walk it on a little leash and people would be so confused. i'd name her moolissa. she would nap in sunbeams all day.
a miniature capybara. they're already the chillest animals on earth. a cat-sized one would just sit in my lap and radiate peace. i'd take him to stressful meetings in my bag and nobody would know he was there.
a tiny penguin. specifically an emperor penguin. it would slide around on my hardwood floors and demand fish at very specific times. i would build it a little ice cave in the freezer for hot days. i've thought about this a LOT.
